Job description
Aerial Fiber Lineman shall possess the ability to hang ADSS fiber optic line or strand and lash fiber. At a minimum, you must have a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with telecommunications lines, bucket trucks, and poles and the functionality of each; ability to use cable placement equipment and tools; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.
Responsibilities:
Completion of aerial fiber optic construction using adss fiber or strand and lash.
Use of tools, equipment, and ladders to complete a project.
Additional Duties as assigned.
Clean and maintain all supplies and equipment
Meet production goals
Maintain quality construction practices
Qualifications:
One year of related work experience.
Have the ability to work well with others.
Proficient in the use of Lineman tools and equipment.
Ability to read construction prints
Proficient in the use of telecom construction equipment. (Aerial Lifts, Dozers, Lashers, Meters, Plows, etc.)
Have the ability to climb poles.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
the ability to work safely, with or without supervision;
the ability to work standing, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods;
the ability to lift and manipulate lasher and other cable placement equipment;
excellent manual dexterity;
the ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing;
the ability to fully understand and operate equipment, including, but not limited to an aerial lift device, lasher, and hand too
