We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Treasurer in our Boston office. This person will be a highly resourceful team player, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient. This individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong communication, organizational, and financial skills and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The person in this position must maintain the highest level of confidentiality and diplomacy regarding all Cabot Properties, L.P. and Cabot Properties, Inc. information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the monthly cash forecasting schedules and updating daily for all the Funds and Separate Accounts
- Opening new bank accounts and lockboxes in the US and Europe
- Managing the outgoing wires transfers (including distributions) for the Funds and Separate Accounts as well as Cabot Properties LP and other Cabot corporate entities
- Assisting with notifying the third-party managers of ACH and incoming wire receipts
- Transmitting the weekly positive pay transmissions to the Fund's and Separate Account's banks
- Assisting in managing the receipts of the capital calls from the investors
- Overseeing/training the Treasury Analyst
- Requesting and managing bids for bank treasury management services for all new Funds and Separate Accounts
- Overseeing debt payments for all Funds
- Overseeing all line-of-credit payments and borrowings for all Funds
- Managing bank templates for wire transfers
- Other duties as directed by the Treasurer.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration required
- 8-10 years of experience in banking required
- Treasury Management System (TMS) software experience and accounting (MRI or other ERP) software experience required
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all members of the organization
- Self-motivated, high attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast pace environment
- High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate
Physical/Mental/Visual Demands and Work Environment:
- The job is conducted in an office work environment, sitting most of the time
- Approximately 90% of this position's duties require use of a computer
- Travel related to investor meetings and banking conferences
