What are the responsibilities and job description for the Budget Analyst position at CACI?
CACI is seeking a seasoned Budget Analyst professional to support National Leadership Command Capabilities (NLCC) office with DoD Budget Processes in the Pentagon. As a CACI teammate you will support DoD NLCC policy initiatives by leveraging knowledge of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), the Defense Acquisition System (DAS), and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes. You will also support the execution of DoD CIO Principal Staff Assistant (PSA) responsibilities by providing analysis and integration services throughout the annual Program and Budget Review (PBR) process. What You’ll Get to Do:
- Analyze financial data related to operations, business performance, opportunities, and investments.
- Consolidate complex technical program descriptions and strategy documents to distill information into simple language for official reports.
- Support the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process within DoD CIO by reviewing Service and Agency budget submissions.
- Correlate the POM and BES submissions to strategy requirements within DoD CIO.
- Support the creation of an annual budget certification report for the DoD CIO.
- Support the creation of CAPE Issue Nominations as part of the annual Program Budget Review process.
- Support the writing of annual programming guidance for Service and Agency budget planning.
- Experience working within CAPE financial databases is desired (DRDW, DITIP, SNaP, SNaP-IT).
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and minimum 10 years of relevant related work history.
- Have strong working knowledge of DOD organization, military services, major military staff operations.
- Experience with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), the Defense Acquisition System (DAS), and Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE).
- Some technical knowledge and understanding of subject matters: Cybersecurity (CS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Command, Control, Communications (C3), Information Enterprise Cloud Strategy and Information Technology Reform (IE), and Data (CDO).
- Technical budget data base expertise and analytical skills.
- Strong Microsoft office and writing skills in order to create and review briefing slides and tasking packages.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Working knowledge of CATMS – DoD tasking system.
