What are the responsibilities and job description for the EOSOF SATCOM Lead position at CACI?
CACI has a great opportunity for a Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) SATCOM Lead to provide Mission Essential support to the Satellite Control Network Tracking Station Operations Remote Site and Mission Partner (STORM) contract which operates and maintains the SATCOM terminal at VSFB.
The Opportunity:
You will oversee and perform shift operations of the Satellite Communications Terminal, Technical Control Facility and associated equipment, troubleshooting of telecommunications paths on shift through hands-on fault detection and isolation, or through recommendation of method/procedure to restore network outages, manual and electronic switching for circuit connectivity between Satellite Operations Centers (SOC), Mission Control Centers (MCC) and Remote Tracking Stations (RTS) during appointed shift, configuration and operation of multiplexing, signal conditioning, and communications systems, trunk and circuit testing and monitoring to ascertain compliance with specified parameters in accordance with Technical Service Order (TSO) / Request For Service (RFS) requirements, cryptographic operations, and training of the assigned personnel on the shift.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and performs system administration for all MET configurations including an Antenna Subsystem, Transmit and Receive Subsystems, Control Monitoring and Alarm (CMA) Subsystem, Performance Monitoring and Test Subsystem (PMTS) and Frequency and Time Standard Subsystem (FTSS).
- Documents operations, performance testing, troubleshooting and maintenance activities in job registers and databases.
- Completes paperwork for equipment and spares inventories, and reports.
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder (antenna towers) up to 40 feet plus, constantly position self to work on equipment mounted lower in racks.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience
- Experience: 5 years related work experience with
- Managing/overseeing geographically separated Air Force/DoD contract operations, maintenance, and base operations functions
- Satellite Control Network (SCN) knowledge
- Interfacing with active-duty military and civil service personnel
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to attain US Government Secret Security Clearance (Minimum)
- Experience in troubleshooting at a system and circuit card / module level, coordinating and participating in RF and telecommunications troubleshooting efforts, and customer service for the Department of Defense.
- Background in operations and maintenance of DSCS/WGS satellite communications equipment.
- Background maintaining communications / electronics equipment.
- Previous experience supporting government and/or Department of Defense customers.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$73,800 - 155,100 USDSalary : $61,600 - $155,100
