What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Program Manager position at CACI?
CACI is seeking an experienced Program Manager with IT operations leadership experience to manage a contract supporting Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Program Manager will be responsible for a task order of 60 staff providing IT operations & maintenance (O&M) support of the enterprise and engineering projects including systems, network, and unified communications in a 24/7/365 environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing an IT operations and engineering program for a federal government customer.
Responsibilities include:
- Overall performance of the task order against the statement of work
- Leads a team of talented project managers, engineers, and technicians performing O&M and engineering of enterprise infrastructure
- Serves as the Government’s primary POC for the contract and works closely with COR and government director to manage the task order
- Manage staff schedules to ensure coverage for ongoing operations and surge events while meeting all SLAs
- Devise policies, standard operating procedures, and approval workflows for the team
- Interface with customers and other vendors for the purpose of communicating status of operations
- Ensure the meeting of SLAs, driving resolution of high priority issues and successfully managing projects to completion
- Oversees quality assurance, risk management, configuration management efforts to ensure contract deliverables meet requirements
- Develop, recommend, and advance IT services to support customer mission needs
- Direct and mentor managers and leads to manage employees and mitigate operational and technical risks
- Conduct performance evaluations of program staff
- Develop briefings, position papers and other supporting artifacts
- Employs strong communication skills to direct skilled technical / programmatic resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review program documents
- Ensures the timely recruitment and training of program staff
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET Clearance
- Ability to obtain/maintain a DHS EOD Suitability Clearance (Active EOD preferred)
- BA/BS or equivalent and 15 years in a related field with supervisory or management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- ITIL Foundation certification (or must obtain within first 6 months)
- Proven communicator and leader
- Previous experience managing a similar sized IT program or team performing O&M and engineering for a government client
- Working technical knowledge of systems/network administration and engineering in an enterprise environment
- Must have demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource forecasting and allocation, deliverable tracking, schedule monitoring, risk management, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous DHS or DoD experience

- Ability to perform troubleshooting on Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10 and Server), Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, network issues, print server
