What are the responsibilities and job description for the Joint Cyberspace Operations Planner Level II position at CACI?
CACI has an exciting opportunity to join a newly created team in support of USCYBERCOM in the Ft. Meade, MD area! CACI is currently looking for Joint Cyberspace Operations Planner Level II to support the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) Joint Operations Center (JOC). This program provides mission-critical support to Cyberspace operations, deconfliction, and planning activities through collaboration with existing federal cyber centers, create synergies that do not currently exist, centralize command and control of cyberspace operations, and synchronize warfighting effects to defend the information security environment. Our team will assist USCYBERCOM with improving the DoD’s capabilities for its Information Networks (“the DODIN”) and ensuring resilient, reliable information and communication networks, providing support to Combatant Commanders across the globe, strengthening the nation’s ability to withstand and counter cyberspace threats, ensuring access to cyberspace, and responding to cyber-attacks. Some of these positions require shift work to support 24x7x365 operations.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide support to the transmission, receipt, and tracking of all in and outbound official message traffic and orders.
Upon notification be required to support an extended workday (more than eight hours per day) during exercise or crisis contingency operations, estimated five to ten times per year.
Monitor and review strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions from higher echelon headquarters and make recommendations to ensure compliance and/or consideration in planning efforts.
Develop plans and orders through the application of operational art and operational design, and by using the JPP (Joint Planning Process), within the milestones, deliverables, and interaction points for plans developed using Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX) activities.
Review draft orders for adherence to USCYBERCOM orders coordination and release procedures, provide feedback to Action Officers, assist in coordinating drafts and approvals.
Train USCYBERCOM personnel on the orders coordination process on a recurring basis.
Provide input to briefings, transitioning concepts to execution, and assisting in the coordination of joint operational planning in support of combat, and contingency plans and operations initiatives with USCYBERCOM staff elements and components, CCMDs, U.S. Government agencies, and facilitate resolution that may span multiple areas of responsibility.
Provide input for the development of concepts of operations (CONOPs), courses of action (COAs), and documents related to cyberspace operations planning and execution.
Participate in Joint Planning Groups (JPGs), Operational Planning Groups/Teams (OPG/OPTs) and Working Groups to capture and ensure Current Operations equities are met.
Develop and maintain a tracking system/database of all orders.
More About the Role:
Our Joint Cyberspace Operations Planner Level II provide general situational awareness of the cyberspace environment and perform routine and emergency actions and communications w/in USCYBERCOM and between USCYBERCOM and all applicable staff elements, JFHQs, subordinate HQ components, CCMDs, and agencies with cyber-related missions.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience and a high school diploma or Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or related discipline and 5 years of experience
Minimum specialized education in military joint operations planning through the Joint Professional Military Education Phase I (JPME I) from a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) accredited joint education program listed in Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction (CJCSI) 1800.01E.
Must be able to travel (up to 2 weeks at a time)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Experience in providing input to briefings, transitioning concepts to execution, and assisting in the coordination of joint operational planning in support of combat, and contingency plans and operations initiatives and facilitate resolution that may span multiple areas of responsibility
Experience in the development of TTPs, CONOPs, COAs, and other related documents related to cyberspace operations.
Experience in conducting research of current and emerging threats to U.S. Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CIKR) and development of courses of action to defend and protect resources.
Experience in Joint Planning Groups (JPGs), and Operational Planning Groups/Teams (OPG/OPTs)
Experience in training personnel on DoD planning and orders process
Ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
