CACI is looking for a well-organized, detailed oriented, and self-motivated professional able to perform well in a deadline-driven, client-oriented, team environment as a Full-Time (FT) Proposal Editor to join our Production team—working remotely. You’ll contribute your editing skills, Federal proposal experience, positive communication style, and solution-focused adaptability in support of proposal work that spans the entire organization. More About the Role:
At the direction of the Editing Manager and working closely with Production staff, edit a wide range of proposal documents in a fast-moving environment, working both independently and as part of multi-editor teams.
At the direction of the Editing Manager, assist with coordinating schedules and leading edits; serve as a liaison with the Part-Time On-Call (PTOC) editors; on a rotating basis, serve as the weekend Editing Point of Contact.
Apply editorial styles and standards consistently and appropriately across multiple proposal volumes, with rigorous attention to detail.
Identify, question, and/or correct grammatical and punctuation errors, faulty sentence construction, and ambiguous or conflicting statements/information.
Research and verify acronym definitions; generate glossaries.
Add value by improving clarity, conciseness, and terminology of proposal documents.
Adapt editing approach to meet changing requirements and deadlines; prioritize editing and Production goals to optimize editorial value and proposal quality.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English or a relevant career field.
3 years of related proposal editing experience for multi-teammate, solutions-based proposals.
Ability to work nights and weekends.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Active Secret clearance.
Live in or near the Northern Virginia area, with ability to work on-site occasionally in Reston, VA.
Ability to focus on the work at hand while responding promptly to frequently changing requirements, deadlines, tasks, and instructions.
