Job Description
CACI is actively seeking an SAP Cloud Architect to support the migration of large, SAP-based Federal supply chain management systems from on-premise data centers to commercial cloud providers. This role includes the detailed planning and delivery of all facets of the migration and the development of a governance structure to sustain long term operations. You’ll be working alongside seasoned SAP experts to build flexible, scalable architectures and high-performance solutions that meet our customer’s goals and objectives.
- Design technical architectures for SAP workloads, including sizing, networking, backup, high-availability, and disaster recovery environments. Participate in the low-level design discussion with customers, partners, and vendors.
- Define and plan SAP application migration approaches to include downtime minimization strategies. Actively work with the SAP Basis team to prototype and optimize migration approaches.
- Coordinate cloud resource deployments with Cloud Hosting service providers and ensure cloud resources are provisioned as designed.
- Lead High-availability, Disaster Recovery and Backup testing efforts in conjunction with Cloud hosting providers.
- Work with technical teams and hosting providers to resolve system architecture, networking, and scalability issues.
- Participate in the analysis of the customer's business operations to validate requirements and scope, suggest process improvements, and assist in level of effort (LOE) estimation.
- Work across technical and functional teams to ensure business, security, and audit requirements are met while enhancing capabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse customer organizations and provide status to stakeholders.
- Extensive, real-world experience in architecting and designing technical solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS capabilities.
- Public Sector experience supporting cloud migrations and ongoing operations.
- Experience in migrating large enterprise applications to Microsoft Azure. Ideal candidate has hands-on experience migrating SAP systems to SAP HANA on Azure and has a deep understanding of SAP migration tools and methodology.
- Strong SAP Basis skills in SAP landscape sizing, SAP cloud deployment, SAP HA/DR design, OS/DB migrations, version upgrades, transport management, optimizing features, system performance.
- Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls.
- 8+ years of overall IT experience, 3+ years in a cloud solution architecture or SAP Basis Architect role
- At least one full cycle on-prem to cloud migration project in a lead role
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
- Ability to pass a NACI background investigation / obtain a Public Trust suitability as required by the program
- Experience with commercial cloud providers (MS Azure, AWS) and multi-cloud environments
- Experience designing solutions within the Risk Management Framework (RMF) set of controls
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification preferred.
- SAP OS/DB migration certification is a plus.
