What You’ll Get to Do
- The position works with the technical team and the Training and Exercise Team to manage A/V and LAN systems
- Proficiency with the following video conferencing applications, WebEx, MS Teams, Zoom and other platforms to include each application’s functional and design options and limitations for both hosts and attendees in both the commercial and public sector environments
- Understanding of connection parameters and settings to allow users from disparate environments to join, host, and share content for all platforms
- Understanding of the factors that impact functionality and performance to include platform, device, meeting options, connection parameters, and number of users on the conference
- Skilled at performing requirements analysis in advance of a video conference to ensure the required functions are delivered on schedule and at the required level of quality
- Skilled at authoring systems documentation, training manuals, and participant instruction manuals
- Current and extensive industry and technical knowledge to enable the full benefit of current system configurations and options.
- Provide creative and innovative ways to improve A/V and IT systems capabilities and performance
- Able to brief program management regarding suggested system enhancements/improvements
- Scheduling and managing local and remote AV/VTC events, to include management of hybrid (onsite and virtual) events
- Provide user education and training on A/V equipment and other basic hardware and software
- Strong time management skills and ability to work flexible schedules to meet job requirements
- Responsible for evaluating, designing, documenting, installing, implementing, testing, maintaining, operating, removing, upgrading, and modifying video teleconferencing equipment systems.
- Senior “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment
- Provide technical support to demonstrations and speaking engagements at industry related events, meetings and working groups. These efforts include managing IT, A/V and VTC systems integration, installation, operation, and breakdown and includes assisting with briefs, presentations, demonstrations, and conferences.
