What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Engineer position at CACI?
What You’ll Get to Do:
As technical expert with complete latitude in day-to-day decision-making, performs systems engineering required for operations, sustainment, and maintenance of the Software/Hardware application in LTRS environments, IAW with USSF, SSC, SLD 30, SLD 45 and DoD policies and procedures and commonly utilized industry best practices.
- Provides systems engineering and other technical services required to develop and integrate hardware and/or software solutions for LTRS innovations. Supports troubleshooting and escalations.
- Provides the necessary infrastructure support and regular adaptive, preventive, and corrective maintenance for LTRS applications.
- Ensures implementation of software patches and bug fixes.
- Plans, installs, customizes, and implement security controls. Supports product and feature upgrades and customization.
- Works in close coordination with the development teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful transition into the O&M environment.
- Assists with migrations to cloud environments.
- Reviews and advises on project plans, designs, scope, requirements, and deliverables to ensure compatibility and integration with the existing and future environments.
- Researches and evaluates new cross-domain technologies and information management trends to chart potential technology and trend insertions to shape and expand the LTRS capability.
- Supports technology demonstrations and Technology Roadmap maintenance. Assists in planning near and long-term architecture objectives and supports acquisition strategies.
- Analyzes technical impacts and ensures technology insertion fit for purpose, compliance, and interoperability across functions to include cyber security and information protection, infrastructure, cloud, and software systems.
- Supports development of test plans, conducts integration testing, and certifies solutions for introduction into the production environment.
- Develops and updates system documentation, work, and engineering plans, BOMs, estimates, site integration technical design packages, configuration documents, and other procedures and reports, as well as templates for deliverable artifacts, forms, and checklists.
More About this Role:
Position is supporting DTAMM activities at Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB), Florida. This is a telework position as permanent office space at PSFB is not available. However, the selected candidate must reside within driving distance of PSFB with on-site support required approximately once/month.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Education: University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related work experience
Required Skills: Technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses.
Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with SLD 45 and SLD 30 Launch and Test Range Systems (LTRS).
