What are the responsibilities and job description for the FAI Inspector position at Cadence Aerospace - B&E?
Job Description:
The ideal Inspector/FAI must be able to manage timely and accurate inspection of new products requiring verification and validation of the first article to the specified drawings and other associated requirements. The successful candidate must be proficient in all aspects of inspecting aerospace components, reading blueprints, and ensuring conformance with strict acceptance criteria.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Generation and/or creation and assembly of necessary documentation, in support of all First Article Test Reports as requested by the customer or driven by process changes or product introduction which includes creation of AS9102 Form based on individual drawing requirements.
- Inspects in-process and/or finished production assemblies for conformance to required workmanship standards.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Coordinates the collection of all required documentation of supplier documentation, original manufacturing certifications, inspection data and all additional paperwork required in support of the First Article Process based upon customer requirements and priorities.
- Work with customers, suppliers, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, configuration, inspection, and value streams as required to create the First article packages.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Physical Requirements:
- 5-7 years relevant experience
- Ability to work under pressure in meeting time schedules
- Ability to work effectively with employees
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, good communication skills
- Blueprint reading
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
