Operations Manager

Position Description:
JOB SUMMARY

The Management Representative provides direction to the organization in matters pertaining to the development, implementation, maintenance and management of the Quality Management System. The Management Representative projects a professional company image through in- person and phone interactions with both customers as well as suppliers on matters pertinent to the integrity of the QMS. Attire is business casual unless otherwise determined. Some interactions may require business professional attire.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement.
Review and approval of quality documents.
The organizational freedom to resolve matters pertaining to quality.
Liaison activities with external parties on matters relating to the QMS.
Facilitate management review meetings.
Training of management and associates on processes in support of the effectiveness and continual improvement of the QMS.
Work with the CEO and his/her staff to assist in the effectiveness of the QMS
Other duties may be assigned as requested by supervisor

PHYSICAL / NON-PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work non-traditional hours, such as overtime, weekends, and holidays.
May require long periods of sitting and standing.
Some travel may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Minimum 10 years in an aerospace manufacturing environment (preferably machining)
Minimum of 5 years quality experience
Minimum of 5 years management experience.
Knowledge of all of the following standards: MIL-I-45208A, ISO 9001:2000, SAE AS9100B
Knowledge of CFR, Title 14, FAR requirements
Ability to read and interpret customer specifications
Familiar with personal computers with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to multi-task
Leadership ability
Good written and verbal communication skills
