Position Summary
Interpret all Customer Engineering /CATIA Models for pertinent data and dimensioning to make CMM program &/or drawings for inspection media.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Including and not limited to:
Analyze and interpret customer drawing packages for CMM programming and coordinate completion with production schedule.
Notify appropriate engineering discipline of any drawing deletions/errors that would require a change to complete programming.
Create &/or correct Perfekta bubble drawings for inspection use as required.
Assist training of new CMM programmers.
Monitor and review Customer Supplier Quality Requirements to ensure compliance pursuant to applicable quality software.
Maintain Six S (6 S) training.
Comply with Perfekta’s Policies and Procedures per Perfekta, Inc. Employee Handbook.
Monitor and stay current with applicable PCDMIS programming training.
Notify immediate supervisor of any safety hazard you see in your work area.
Notify immediate supervisor (or company suggestion box) of ideas that you think would help improve your department or company. Authoring CMM part programs.
Creating a standard programming process that eliminates variation between CMM programming methods between programmers, setups, and programming strategies.
Creating a standard process to effectively communicate CMM data to the customer including but not limited to graphic illustrations, point maps, heat maps, etc.
Creating a standard process for documenting set ups.
Train, coach, and mentor CMM team members
Improve efficiency of programming process by improved programming techniques that create the most effective utilization of the CMM and reduced run time.
Improve efficiency of the CMM operating process by improved set up techniques that create the most effective utilization of the CMM and reduced run time.
Assist in the development of an FAI process that automatically links CMM data to the FAI and eliminates hand typing.
Assist in the development of standard quality planning process to develop in process inspection plans.
Perform gage R studies.
Position Requirements
Must have a working knowledge of aircraft/aerospace blueprints, parts fabrication, machining and assembly manufacturing environment pursuant to applicable processes and procedures.
Minimum of five (5) years Aircraft/Aerospace CMM Programming experience.
CATIA Training: Minimum training of Part Design, Wire Frame, Solid Modeling and Dynamic Sketcher or equitant a must.
Physical and Environmental Demands
Corrected/uncorrected visual abilities to see/read documents and computers for long periods of time.
Ability to withstand long periods of standing / sitting at one time.
