Position Summary :
The Convention & Workshop Specialist supports the Convention and Workshop Manager to ensure all aspects of Cadwell conventions, workshops, tradeshows and meeting events are well- planned and run smoothly.
Key Duties / Responsibilities :
- Arrange and manage logistics for Cadwell tradeshow and workshop events, in alignment with the event plan
- Secure convention / workshop venue; Submit application and complete all necessary paperwork
- Make arrangements for set up and for food and beverage service at events
- Arrange accommodations and transportation for participants
- Set up a system and manage the registration process
- Assist in design and arrangement of exhibits and displays
- Coordinate Cadwell representatives to work at the booth, doing live product demonstrations, audio-visual presentations, interactive activities, etc.
to promote products and make sales connections
- Plan and arrange for giveaways, promotional items and literature to display at tradeshows and workshops
- Organize storage requirements, and shipping needs of equipment to and from conventions and workshops
- Handle the marketing and promotion of the event
- Manage costs for the event, in line with the budget
- Evaluate the event after its completion
- Prepare reports on event evaluation results and costs, and share results with management
- Share information and photos with Communications Manager and Multimedia Specialist to develop copy for various communications including social media
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Education / Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field preferred
- Experience in handling multiple complex projects simultaneously preferred

- Manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes; strong organizational and planning skills
- Complete work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed
- Coordinate with and effectively manage external vendors
- Communicate clearly and professionally through effective listening, speaking, and writing skills
- Computer skills : MS Office and Google applications, query tools, and database systems and applications
- Must develop general knowledge of Cadwell product lines and technology
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions :
Positions working with Cadwell equipment generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written / verbal communication.
