Assembler – Electromechanical – Entry Level

We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated individual with strong mechanical skills to join our team as an entry-level Assembler. In this role, you will build units and sub-assemblies to print using both power and hand tools and perform in-process checks using various test and measuring equipment. This role would be scheduled to work Monday through Friday 6am - 2:30pm with opportunities for overtime.
In this role, you will typically:
- Build mechanical, electrical and sub-assemblies of units in accordance with blueprints, MIL-Specs, build books and other specifications;
- Set-up, operate and use hand, machine and special tools, electrical devices and measuring equipment;
- Track and monitor tool and equipment calibration
We require:
- A High School graduate or equivalent;
- One year of assembly experience or coursework which includes reading blueprints, soldering, schematics or electronics or any combination thereof;
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Eligibility for any required authorizations from the US Government to conform to US export control regulations
Desired characteristics include:
- Previous experience with electrical and mechanical assemblies of complex electro-mechanical actuators or similar product, including good wiring practices;
- Previous J STD-001 soldering experience;
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical ability;
- An ability to use electrical and mechanical measuring instruments and hand tools;
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics and work instructions
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Repetitive use of hands and fingers – gross and fine dexterity
- Ability to transport items to other work centers throughout the facility
- Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
- Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting
- Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
- Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
- Requires repetitive movement
