CAE is looking for Training Compliance Officer - Civil Aviation!
This is a Remote position that can be US, Canada or Europe based.
The Training Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the scope of the respective training programs, as designed by the Training Design Specialists (TDS) and Heads of Training Design (HoTD), complies with the required Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) requirements.
The Training Compliance Officer provides leadership to Civil operations as a subject matter expert during the CAA approval of training programs, courseware, flight training equipment, personnel, and facilities.
The Training Compliance Officer is responsible for consultancy services to OEMs under contract with CAE for operational evaluation support of new aircraft. The global nature of this role requires the Training Compliance Officer to be familiar with the regulatory requirements of a global array of aviation authorities (EASA, FAA, Transport Canada, GACA, ANAC, DGAC, DGCA, etc.)
The Training Compliance Officer is responsible for developing a team of Training Compliance Specialists that can produce and maintain all training curriculum documents in accordance with training design policy and processes, except for FAA part 142 curriculums and FAA part 135 templates.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that the curriculums and courses proposed by the TDSs across Civil are compliant with the respective NAA guidelines by maintaining a globally relevant master training needs analysis database.
When requested by operations, liaise with CAA personnel to ensure timely approval and implementation of training programs. Wherever possible, ensure that course design considers the broadest CAA requirements, to minimize costs.
When non-aircraft specific change drivers are captured, proactively coordinate, and participate in cross-functional meetings to assess impact to the training program and advise the training policy working group (TPWG) accordingly.
Define and monitor team performance against Key Results to achieve CGTO objectives.
Provide status and metric reporting to Director of Training Design as required.
Create and refine process, procedure, and work instruction documentation within the CGTO. Provide compliance support for OEM Operational Evaluation Projects to include attending preparation meetings, reviewing OE mandates from OEMs and contributing to the impact analysis of the project.
The Training Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing development and maintenance of compliance documentation required for the OE. The Training Compliance Officer also provides support to the OEM and CAE OE Team for resolution of regulatory compliance issues that arise during all phases of the OE. The role will act as a liaison between the OEM and the CAE Business unit with regards to compliance, regulatory and qualification activities.
Performing duties required as a signatory to all training specifications produced by the training design teams. Contribute to the completion of management of change and risk assessment activities in Centrik.
Alongside the appropriate CAE regulatory functions, stay abreast of evolving CAA requirements and working alongside the respective Heads of Training to understand how these evolving requirements may impact the current catalog of courses and those under development.
Maintain relationships with a global network of CAA personnel to ensure that CAE's files/cases and questions are looked at in the most efficient manner.
Requirements:
8 - 12 years of relevant experience
FAA ATP or EASA ATPL preferred.
Experience managing operational evaluations for EASA, FAA and Transport Canada is preferred.
