Summary The candidate will work as a member of a research team developing and expanding adaptable agents for training and performance of human-machine teams in changing environments. Largely, the candidate will support the development of computational cognitive models that are capable of being taught from written or verbal instruction. The current focus is on developing enabling technologies for knowledge gap identification and resolution that will reduce agent development time. Experience developing and/or applying computational cognitive models and/or machine learning models within applied settings At least one OOP/procedural programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C, C , etc.) Expertise in computational approaches for knowledge representation (e.g., knowledge graph representations) Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers Experience identifying and resolving technical problems that affect cost, schedule, and performance Passion for learning new knowledge and skills Desire to work with others in a research environment Qualifications and Education Requirements Education M.S. or Ph.D. in cognitive science, psychology, or related field Skills and Expertise Experience developing models within the ACT-R cognitive architecture Statistical analysis expertise (e.g., R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, or equivalent) Computational cognitive linguistics expertise Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
