Role and Responsibilities Job Description - The Crew Planner will have the following key responsibilities: a. Tactical planning and management of pilot and cabin crew resources, to ensure all aircraft operations are correctly and sufficiently crewed, while always in full compliance with the clients Operations Manual, Flight Time Limitations (FTL), Flight Duty Period (FDP) and Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS). b. Produce crew rosters that add efficiency and maximum productivity levels for each crew member. c. Ensure rosters are issued to crew in advance and on time, as per the KPI’s detailed in the Service Level Agreement with the client d. Provide analysis and feedback in relation to concerns on roster coverage and provide ongoing reviews and reports to confirm resource levels required to maintain adequate line coverage. e. Assist the client in key decision making around resources including but not limited to confirmation on feasibility of schedule changes, schedule updates, new routes / airport pairings etc. f. Work in close liaison with the Training department to ensure all aspects of crew training are planned accurately and well in advance. g. Facilitate client and aviation authority audits; ensure all findings are dealt with and closed in compliance with the deadline set, client requirements and expectations, while always being in full adherence with any other legal or aviation law requirements and CAE company policies. h. Support the Senior Planning Analyst with their tasks and deputise as required during their absence. i. Carry out quality checks of crew member profiles, help deal with and close out data gaps and other similar issues; assist in closing out legality concerns and other audit findings as they arise. j. Offer support and solutions on day to day issues involving Crew Control as required. k. Develop, implement and maintain written procedures to ensure ongoing refinement of workflows and processes to constantly improve efficiencies for the Rostering team. l. Continuously develop and refine the organisational structure of the Rostering team. m. Ensure all KPI's for the Rostering team and measured, reported and achieved in compliance with the client contract and quarterly contract performance reviews. n. Actively assist in the training of new team members within Crewing Services. o. Lead special projects as required and as deemed necessary and take full accountability to ensure deadlines are met and other parameters such as cost controls are achieved. p. Act as a duty Crew Controller in the event of short notice sickness or other similar unforeseen factors that reduce crew Control shift coverage. q.
