The Industrial Security Specialist role maintains company security policies as it relates to the NISP. Reporting to the FSO, this is a key role for interfacing with DCSA on security clearance matters and rulings; interpreting NISPOM and ensuring we execute flawlessly on all assigned classified contracts. Responsibilities
AFSO
- Serve as the primary contact for visitor background checks and check-in
- Maintain classified accountability program, oversee secure storage, conduct semi-annual inventory of accountable classified material, and ensures all classified materials held by the site are compliant
- Perform trainings for current and newly assigned personnel, instructing them on requirements for safeguarding program documentation and facility security policies
- Assist with submission of individual security clearances in NBIS when needed
- Process incoming and outgoing visit authorizations in DISS for personnel assigned to contracts that require it
- Define, update, maintain records in DISS/NBIS/NISS databases
- Monitor cameras for suspicious activity
- Maintain access control using CCURE badging system
- Participate in security self-assessments, DCSA Vulnerability Assessments, and all other audits
- Knowledgeable of Insider Threat Awareness program as required by the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM.
- Quarterly random baggage checks for NISPOM compliance
- Safeguard CUI and maintain CUI program consistent with laws, regulations, and government-wide policies (registration and physical handling and marking) as needed.
- Will be required to provide AFSO support to multiple locations
ISSO
- Audit Information Systems (networked and standalone) for Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) to include implementing cybersecurity best-practices and identification and removal of malware.
- Work directly with customers and end-users to triage and troubleshoot Information System technical failures or gaps, with emphasis on building positive inter-personal and inter-departmental relationships through successful resolution of customer issues and stated needs.
- Participate in the Incident Response process, to include invoking the Incident Response policy when an Information Security incident is identified through the audit process
- Direct and perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and update activities on Windows-based information systems using but not limited to the following programs:
- Note: Within the DoD, referred to as the Assured Compliance Assessment System/Solution or ACAS
- Windows update
- Tenable Nessus Vulnerability Scanner
- McAfee/Trellix Anti-Virus/Malware
- SecureStrux Windows system auditing tool
- DISA Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker
- Serve as technical expert on ISSO team, providing ISSM with backup implementation and project management support
- Act as a Tier I/II support for information systems, both networked and stand-alone
- Implement and validate DISA Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and customer Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program requirements to support Threat Prevention and vulnerability remediation
- Troubleshoot and diagnose information system compatibility and functionality in direct contact with Eatontown Security customer base
- Work with the ISSM to develop system provisioning and maintenance procedures that capture DoD Security requirements and industry best-practices
- Under the Risk Management Framework, contribute to development of actionable Information Systems policy to deliver compliance through an eMASS Authorization to Operate (ATO)
- Will be required to provide ISSO support to multiple locations
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years' directly related experience
- Completion of FSO Certification
- Strong working knowledge of National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM)
- Proficient knowledge of DISS, NBIS, SWFT, NISS, eApp
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a "Secret" security clearance
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in Industrial Security field in a classified environment
- Computer skills: operating within a networked environment using a Windows interface,
- Proficiency knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Time Management & Organizational skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality
- Candidate must be highly organized and self-motivated with excellent documentation skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Salary Range: Please note that we are ready to hire at different levels for this role and therefore have a broader range. $74,984 - $144,564 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
