Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills to both internal and external customers by displaying Spotlight on Success behaviors. Maintains upbeat, positive attitude, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next. Leads staff to encourage consistent displaying of Spotlight on Success behaviors. Creates an atmosphere of luck and celebrates customer wins. Is ready to serve and informed of daily information; builds relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting. Anticipates needs and provides fast, flawless service. Checks for satisfaction and properly uses the Service Recovery process to resolve problems when they exist. Promotes Total Rewards programs and card membership. Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting. Immediately greets guests with a smile and initiates the execution of the “great service experience.
Responsible for the set up of area at the beginning of each shift. Ensures completion of opening and closing checklists. Provides supervisor with a daily report for the shift. Responsible for processing guest orders, bagging orders, wrapping sandwiches and preparing beverages. Operates a cash register, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest the correct change.
Requirements:
Responsible for assisting cashiers with proper cash handling procedures. Operates other payment mechanisms i.e. Quick Comps, credit card processing etc. Ensures that work area is clean and sanitary in accordance with the city and state Health department codes. Position is located in a cigarette‑smoke environment.
High School diploma or equivalent. Must be able to stand or sit for prolong periods of time. Must be neat in appearance and possess pleasant personality. Physically strong – must be able to lift 25 pounds, ability to stoop & bend. Able to understand and speak with co-workers, & guests. Possesses Basic Computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office preferred
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and operation of the kitchen. Must be familiar with all phases and operations of the kitchen.
Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee conflicts. Ability to assist with training of co-workers and all new hires
Is able to work in smoke filled environment, and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
