Position: Meat Specialist (butcher)

Position Summary

Full time Position. In our Meat department Prep room and service counter. Cutting for both our self-service case and service counter along with serving customers at our service case as a butcher.

Position Accountabilities

• You will be cutting, and trimming meats and poultry.
• You will be cutting and serving customers at our Butcher counter
• Assist fellow members of the team in accomplishing the goals of the department which are excellent Customer Service” and a “profitable environment”.
• You will be assigned to work in our Meat Cold room and Meat service counter.
• Use Safe handling and safe sanitary procedures
• Correct and responsible usage of all equipment. (i.e. knives, choppers, band saw.)
• Assist in cleaning and maintenance of the Department.
• Correct and responsible usage of all equipment
• Help clean the work area at days end.
• Assist in unloading deliveries
• Maintain correct department signage
• Answer Telephone calls and customer questions in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Ability to have flexible work schedules. Ability to start work at 7am
• Ability to bend and lift, push and pull carts.

Required Experience and Character

One year as a meat cutter in a supermarket or meat store. Or Kinfe skills from working in a resturaunt.

Compensation

Full time You will receive for your skills a full time steady daytime position. You will work 40 hours Plus approximately 8 hours overtime. Available to you after 12 months of employment will be Store discounts, Holiday pay, and vacation benefits. Your Starting pay will be competitive to the industry. Your ultimate salary depends on your ability to adapt and grow with your position as well as the possibility of taking managerial responsibility .
