CAGE Civil Engineering is currently seeking a highly motivated civil engineer to join our Denver team. At CAGE, our civil engineers are provided not only immediate responsibility but unlimited opportunity. As a civil engineer with CAGE, you will have the responsibility to develop technical skills related to the production of design documents and calculations including code/ordinance research, site planning, stormwater management calculations, preliminary and final construction documents, stormwater pollution prevention plans, completion of permit documents, and other reports.

- Base Compensation Range: $60,000 - $75,000

A DAY IN THE LIFE

- Full fledged member of a design team working on variety of residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects 

- Land development design and consulting on multiple projects

- Design and draft land development plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D

- Prepare site plan, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site developability based on learned constraints

- Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and work to define direction of project

- Site visits to gather data for use in design

- Attend meetings with Project Team to discuss timelines, budgets, and design constraints

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

- BS in Engineering from an accredited university

- 1 to 5 years of experience 

- EIT credentials (passing of the FE exam) preferred, but not required

- Familiar with CAD standards, linetypes, layers, Civil 3D pipe networks, pipe parts, surface styles, label styles, general notes- Understands engineering design for all aspects of site development

- Proficient with CAD Civil 3D software and how to assemble plans and reports in a logical order- Focused, motivated, and results oriented

- Must possess a strong desire to learn and advance one’s technical skills- Must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and accept constructive criticism- Embraces teamwork approach and possess strong communication skills
