Position Summary:
Under the direction of the F&B Manager, the Cocktail Server provides knowledgeable, prompt, friendly and courteous service of food and beverage to our hotel and casino guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists all Food and Beverage team members to produce a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of customer service.
- Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous customer service to all casino guests in accordance with department standards.
- Must be able to demonstrate and maintain service level standards.
- Take beverage orders from guests on the casino floor with a focus on Table Games.
- Input orders into point of sale system to inform bartender an order was placed.
- Replenish beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guest to inquire about satisfaction.
- Check and maintain proper set up and cleanliness of station before, during and after shift.
- Maintains cleanliness of guest areas at all times to include removing empty glasses/bottles, clean up any messes, such as spilled drinks or food.
- Responsible for receiving payment from customers in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Abides by all State, Federal and Company liquor regulations pertaining to alcoholic beverage service and intoxicated guests.
- Responsible for adhering to established cash control policies and procedures.
- Must be able to Multi task in busy environment
- Open to new challenges and tasks on a daily basis.
- Must be able to follow all standards for health and safety protocols.
- Must keep all service areas stocked with necessary supplies
- Must be able to work all shifts and Holidays
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Adequate knowledge of liquor and wine.
- Must be able to stand for an entire 8 hour shift.
- Must be able to read and speak English.
- Must be able to carry out tasks with limited supervision.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in several areas.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Have a professional appearance.
- Must be able to do the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to smile at all times while on casino property, and able to promote a positive professional attitude.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain FHC (food handler card)

Work environment requires significant standing, bending, kneeling, lifting and reaching. Non-slip shoes required. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and required to move about he Casino floor and exposed to a non-smoke free environment.
Cahuilla Casino Hotel is committed to a drug and alcohol free workplace. Any job offer is conditional upon successful passing of a pre-employment drug test and must qualify for a Cahuilla Gaming License, which includes an extensive background security check.
If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less than the stated requirements, may be interviewed and hired provided the applicant hired submits a formal written training plan within (30) thirty days which can be completed within a reasonable time agreed upon by the supervisor and the applicant. Applicants who are hired and fail to meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled.
A drug test will be required prior to employment and periodically thereafter.

Salary : $27,900 - $35,400
