CAI is seeking a Senior Business Analyst. This is a fully on-site opportunity. Our client is based in Newark, DE.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with expertise in Business Process Modeling, requirements gathering, writing functional requirements and user stories, as well as ensuring traceability throughout the development lifecycle. In this role, you will work on projects that modernize clients' processes and systems, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation process to ensure a comprehensive understanding of client needs and objectives.
- Utilize Business Process Modeling techniques to analyze and optimize clients' existing processes, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Evaluate and recommend SaaS solutions that best align with clients' requirements and business goals, when necessary.
- Write clear and concise functional requirements and user stories, ensuring traceability throughout the project life cycle.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams, fostering strong relationships and clear communication.
- Lead the creation and execution of test plans to ensure the successful implementation of new processes and systems.
- Provide training and support to clients during and after the implementation process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on public sector clients.
- Proven expertise in Business Process Modeling, requirements gathering, writing functional requirements, user stories, and traceability matrices.
- Experience with SaaS solution evaluation and implementation is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience developing Quality-of-service (non-functional) requirements are requirements that do not perform a specific function for the business requirement but are needed to support the functionality.
- For example: performance, scalability, quality of service (QoS), security and usability.
- Experience developing Report Specifications - define the purpose of a report, its justification, attributes and columns, owners and runtime parameters.
- Preferred: Agile and Waterfall experience.
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor.
