What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Baker position at Cake Monkey Bakery?
Cake Monkey Bakery is an established wholesale and retail bakery specializing in upscale cakes, snack treats, cookies, pies, viennoiserie and morning pastries. We are seeking a professional Baker to join our team! We are looking for an individual who can work and learn at a fast pace, has experience with viennoiserie, working in a commercial kitchen making large batches of croissant dough, shaping croissants, proofing and baking.
Requirements:
- Experience with laminated doughs
- Strong attention to detail
- Perform all duties while maintaining Cake Monkey's high quality standards
- Must be an excellent team player, stepping in to assist others when time allows
- Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs and must be able to stand for 8 hours a day
- Maintain cleanliness of work station and equipment
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Must have at least 1 year of viennoiserie experience in a professional kitchen
- Hours: 3pm - 11:30pm - 5 days a week (a weekend day is required)
