Retail Business Analyst
Position Summary:
The Retail Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting a wide range of needs for the divisions within the North American Retail (omnichannel) landscape, which inclusive of but not limited to: specialty retail stores, outlet stores, e-commerce, and CRM/marketing.
The function of the Business Analyst is to understand needs, drive requirements, propose solutions and manage the delivery of multiple cross-functional projects and integrations between different systems. Additionally, the BA will be required to oversee development, testing and training for all business users along with ensuring the proper evolution of the solutions to meet both functional and technical needs. Additionally, the role will oversee the development, testing, documentation, and functional training for users, while ensuring the Retail application landscape continues to meet functional, technical and regional requirements.
Responsibilities
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Relationship Management
Act as the primary liaison for multiple distinct domains within the business community.
Work with the business teams to gather requirements for enhancements, change requests and new functionality.
Conduct workflow analysis and assist in identifying recommendations in systematic and functional process flow.
Identify business and/or system issues and provide alternative options for resolutions.
Train the business user community on system functionality.
Systems preparation and support during and after annual physical inventory.
Project management of services and system sourcing, scheduling, configuration, vendor selection, and installation/deinstallation for new store openings, store remodels/relocations and store closures.
Stay abreast of contemporary technology trends, concepts, and regional requirements, and serve as a subject matter expert for the business teams.
Responsibilities
Documentation and Communication
Identify, translate business requirements to functional specifications and work with internal and external technical resources to create technical plans, documentation and solutions.
Provide timely and consistent communication with the internal and external teams, including: providing status updates on projects, system development, support and operational requests.
Assist with the creation and ongoing development of training documents such as training manuals, user quick reference sheets and how-to guides.
Maintain all documentation regarding the business processes and their related system solution diagrams.
System Maintenance and Support
Lead in unit, system, integration and user acceptance test plan development and execution, including the creation of test scenarios/scripts, test data setup and verification/validation of test results.
As part of the Global IT organization, partner with the Headquarter (Milan) IT team during rollouts and upgrades; serve as the primary liaison between the North American IT team and HQ team for centrally managed and complex issues.
Manage application issues and bugs within using tracking/ support systems; liaise with internal and external resources to facilitate resolution and closure.
Serve as the main point of escalation for retail business issues requiring internal or external support.
Annual/Periodic Events and Support
Support of special sale activities (Friends & Family, pop-ups, samples sales, and mark downs).
Vendor Management
Partner with vendors to validate and refine technical specifications against business requirements.
Create purchase/service orders for vendor engagements ensuring propor goods and service receipt is completed.
Communicate and escalate with external vendors and internal departments to address production issues, upgrades, rollouts, and software evaluations.
Prepare for and participate in vendor relationship activities and stewardship meetings on an ongoing basis.

Some travel may be required (>10%)
Work schedule: Full-time with off-hour support as required

Education and Experience
Bachelor degree in Information Technology / Computer Science/ MIS / Business Administration or related work experience.
Required Experience
Minimum 6 years experience supporting multichannel retail and e-Commerce and related applicatons in the fashion apparel or related industry, with increasing responsibilities.
Experience with payment technology, retail systems, physical inventory and distributed order managment.
Proven lifecycle solution development, from requirements gathering through build, test, deploy and support.
Ability to write clear specifications and requirements.
Demonstrated experience documenting use cases and functional requirements.
Desired Experience
Experience with PCMS Beanstore point-of-sale (POS) suite or similar rertail POS solution.
Expereinece with SAP MM and SAP Hybris or other ERP software.
Experience with Vertex Indirect Tax OSeries tax management software or similar.
Experience with Shift 4 integrated payment solution and Adyen or similar.
Experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office 365 suite and Zoom.
Experience with SAP Business Objects, SQL querying and reporting/ analytics tools.
Formal training in ITIL, project management, business analysis and or process modeling
