Calcium is seeking an Accounting or Finance major to intern with our Finance & Accounting team headquartered in Philadelphia this Fall. The position will start in September and will provide you the opportunity to observe and learn the working and daily activities of a growing, dynamic advertising agency. You will work closely with the Director of Client Finances and Senior Accounting Manager.

Key Job Responsibilities

As an intern, you will assist with the following.

General bookkeeping, including posting entries into the general ledger, reviewing accounts and preparing reports from the accounting application

Posting vendor invoices, monitoring accounts payable and preparing check-runs

Monitoring cash activity and forecasting cash needs

Prepare month-end financial reports

Assist Client Finance team with burn reports, weekly client meetings and invoicing

Assist with implementation of a new integrated project management, resource management and accounting application

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Full-time junior or senior in an accredited 4-year College or University or Recent Graduate
  • Accounting major or Finance major having completed intermediate financial accounting courses with 3.0 or higher GPA (or equivalent standard)
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and with teams
