Part-Time Instructor, History

Part-Time Instructor, History provides classroom instruction through lecture, computer simulation, demonstration, laboratory exercises, handouts, the use of audio-visuals, responding to questions and testing; perform related duties as required. This position is responsible for completing required paperwork, care of equipment and material, and ability to comply with all CCC&TI policies and procedures.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential and other responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Essential Functions: Plan and participate in the instruction of classes for the program; prepare supplemental materials and tests; maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.Prepare objectives, assignments, grading standards, attendance policies and course syllabus to be distributed at first class meeting; select text books; prepare, proctor and grade tests; prepare instructional materials and aids.Provide supervisor with objectives and course outlines for each class; begin and end each class on time; turn in reports, final grades and other forms on time; revise course content and objectives as required; administers student evaluations each term; develop new courses in field as required.Assist in the evaluation of activities and operations of assigned program; ensure that operations meet the goals and objectives of the college and the needs of the student population.Marginal Functions: Support college functions/cultural activities; assist in the placement of students.Perform other duties as assigned.This position description covers the most essential functions and duties associated with this position. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Training: Master's degree from an accredited college or university with 18 graduate semester hours in history required. Experience: Experience teaching full-time at a post-secondary level is highly preferred. Prior experience teaching online (Moodle) and/or hybrid courses preferred.
