Role Description & Responsibilities
Calfus Inc. is seeking an experienced, innovative, and hands-on Enterprise Architect to join our team in our Pleasanton, CA location. You should be well-versed in enterprise and microservices architecture, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing scalable, secure, and performant software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to spearhead the architecture and design of cutting-edge software and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve our strategic goals.
- Spearhead the design and development of enterprise-level software architectures, encompassing both traditional and microservices-based approaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into comprehensive technical specifications, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge technologies and tools to keep our architecture at the forefront of innovation.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to software engineers, fostering their technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Continuously stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in enterprise and microservices architecture.
- Document technical architectures, design decisions, and architectural trade-offs for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 12 years of hands-on technical experience, with 5 years as a Technical Architect.
- Expertise in enterprise and microservices architecture.
- Proven success in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and performant software solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing, containerization technologies, and microservices design patterns.
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles, including governance, data integration, and security frameworks.
- Experience in both green and brown field product development involving custom components as well as pre-packaged solutions.
- Proficient in more than one language such as Java, Javascript, Python, Kotlin.
- Expert in design and development of API integrations using REST, SOAP, gRPC, GraphQL based services.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, balancing individual contributions with team synergy.
