SUMMARY:

The Production Planning at CALIBER I.D. plays a critical role in coordinating production schedules and ensuring the timely procurement of materials and supplies necessary for manufacturing medical devices. This position requires strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to optimize production processes and maintain inventory levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Including, but not limited to:
1. Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules in collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure efficient utilization of resources and timely delivery of products.
2. Material Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers to procure raw materials, components, and supplies required for production, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.
3. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and track material usage to identify potential shortages or excesses. Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs and production disruptions.
4. Supplier Management: Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply of materials. Address any issues or discrepancies related to quality, pricing, or delivery.
5. Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast demand for materials and products, facilitating proactive planning and procurement decisions.
6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs. Implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in production planning and procurement.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production schedules, material orders, and inventory levels. Generate reports and analysis to provide insights into production performance and supply chain metrics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*:
· Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
· 5 years of experience in production planning, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
· Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
· Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to travel up to <10% of the time.
