Installer

The Installer is an hourly, full-time position; located at the Fort Myers Manufacturing facility. The Install Apprentice, based on provided designs and components, is responsible for the construct, erect, install, and repair of custom storage systems and accessories using laminate wood, edge-banding, hardware and other materials, requiring your skills with hand tools and power tools. This position reports to the Installation Manager.

Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. However, additional time may be required, as needed, to meet the established commitments. This position is a contracted position that will require a separate Non-Compete, Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality Agreement.

Key Results Area:

• Use company provided CAD drawings to safely, properly and efficiently install systems
• Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by Installer and/or supervisor
• Communicate any problems or obstacles to management

Tasks Include but not limited to:

• Load and unload vans with storage product
• Assist with installation of storage systems

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
• High School Diploma
• Experience with common hand and power tools
• Cabinetry or carpentry skills desirable
• Trade or vocational school experience desirable
• Must have ability to read, understand and check plans
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills
• Must be detail oriented and work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Takes initiative within area of responsibility
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works both indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and exposure to loud noises from operating equipment. The employee may work in high, precarious places, steep slopes and on ladders. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme hot and cold as well as other types of inclement weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment under appropriate circumstances. The following physical abilities are required:

• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and in climate weather.
• Ability to lift, carry, or shovel objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds
• Ability to perform physical labor requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, crouch, shovel, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, reach, and continual and repetitive use of fine motor skills and manual dexterity
• Ability to work around equipment that generates noise, vibration and heat.
• Visual acuity for depth perception and color perception
• Ability to use a variety of measuring devices and tools provided by the company
• Bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
• Standing, sitting, and walking for up to 8-12 hours a day
• Ability to climb stairs/stepstools/ladders when necessary
• Ability to hear sufficiently to accurately perceive information at normally spoken word levels
• Ability to use communication by means of spoken word to express or exchange ideas

Summary:

This position plays an integral role in maintaining the everyday flow of accurate and efficient Installation. It is critical the position is meeting quality and delivery expectations.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
