Job Description
The National Warehouse Trainer is a subject matter expert across the work cells within the warehouse and travels to build the skill sets of our internal teams. This role also participates in all enablement projects and supports training for Epicor, as well as executing the roll out of any new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that impact the field teams. The National Warehouse Trainer ensures that consistent processes are implemented across all locations following the approved/developed SOPs and provides feedback to leadership on any potential changes or updates to SOP documentation. This role will ensure safe work practices and adherence to site policies/procedures. The National Warehouse Trainer models our company values and is committed to delivering the California Closets Brand Experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Train warehouse locations across the United States and Canada on SOP processes including receiving, staging, inventory, and Epicor.
- Identify areas of opportunity with regards to workflow and processes.
- Lead the operations in the implementation of new processes and workflow.
- Identify training opportunities within work cells on site and provide resources/support as needed
- Be a contributor to the Operations Manual by contributing expertise with procedures and processes
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Train and participate in inventory reconciliation process, both Physical Inventory and Cycle Counts.
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse by implementing new design layouts.
- Responsible for tracking and communicating analysis to management on all ongoing projects for acquisitions that take place within the markets.
- Ensure appropriate procedures and standards are established and followed.
- Examine materials to verify specifications required and can locate stock materials in designated areas of the warehouse.
- Participate/Lead in warehouse relocations, acquisitions and warehouse enablement projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or GED required
- Experience leading and directing warehouse teams required
- 3 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse role in construction and/or in the home renovations/improvement industry, preferably within a luxury brand environment
- Must possess an unwavering commitment to foster a safe and event-free work environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Self-starter with a positive attitude
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented, organized and time management skills
- Strong multi-tasking, and prioritization capabilities, ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Tech savvy with the ability to quickly learn and apply various business systems (Microsoft Office Suite, Epicor)
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software- can read and interpret project plans and blueprints
- MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL 50-70% (United States and Canada)
- Must successfully complete a background check
