Job Description and Duties

This advertisement is for an Associate Governmental Program Analyst position located at Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown, Tuolumne County. Please indicate the position number on your application: 099-224-5393-801.

Under the direction of the Correctional Counselor II (Supervisor) (CCII), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) screens, reviews, and processes Incarcerated individuals Grievances. Submit complex grievances to the Grievance Coordinator for further review and recommended disposition. Process all grievance reassignments from other Institutions. Review completed grievances from divisions and/or Reviewing Authority. Generate reports and statistical data of Grievance Decision Responses and Incarcerated Individual Appeals Tracking System (IATS) of First and Second Level Responses. Responsible for researching the Department Operations Manual, the California Code of Regulations, Title 15, Operational Procedures, CDCR Memorandums issued by Headquarters, and other relevant documents to ensure appropriate processing of grievances according to the laws governing the department are followed. Assist with compliance of remedies being fulfilled by the Institution for approved grievances, respond to grievance related inquiries from Managers/Administrators within Sierra Conservation Center (SCC), other institutions, and outside entities, and respond to Incarcerated Individuals Requests for Interviews.

Working Conditions

About this location -- Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) is located in the foothills near Jamestown, California, in the heart of the Mother Lode Gold Country.It is adjacent to the Stanislaus National Forest, offering pine trees, mountain streams, and an abundance of recreational activities (fishing, swimming, camping, skiing, golfing, etc.).The prison is approximately 70 miles from Yosemite National Park.

The primary mission of SCC is to provide housing, programs and services for minimum and medium custody incarcerated individuals, to aid in their rehabilitation. SCC is responsible for the training and placement of male incarcerated individuals in the Conservation Camp Program. SCC administers 31 male camps located throughout California.
