Job Description and Duties

This is the first working supervisory level in the general storekeeping series. Incumbents may either (1) supervise the receipt, storage, issuance, and shipping of a volume of varied supplies requiring moderately complex storage practices in a redistribution or point-of-use warehouse or supply room; or (2) have charge of stores in a small State institution or agency; or (3) assume equivalent duties and responsibilities in assisting a higher grade warehouse supervisor.

The Materials and Stores Supervisor I (Correctional Facility) will be placed in the following area:

  • Food Services

Work Hours: 0900 am - 1700 pm Monday/Thursday/Friday and 0600 am - 1400 pm Saturday/Sunday.

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s). Individuals must specify on their application that they are applying for a Training and Development assignment.

Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.

SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority; therefore, individuals with other eligibility may be considered in the event no SROA or Surplus candidates apply. Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
