Job Description
The Program Technician II (PT II) position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by performing a wide range of clerical and technical duties associated with reviewing and processing incoming complaints. This includes frequent contact with facility staff, CDPH surveyors, and complainants, entering data in multiple systems, and providing certification and/or process information and documents to health care providers, nurse assistants, home health aides, hemodialysis technicians, and internal and external stakeholders via phone, email, fax, and mail. Provides administrative and technical support to the Investigation Section by maintaining supplies and equipment inventory, processing daily mail; acting as the liaison for the State Records Center; answering, responding to, and forwarding calls; and creating paper and electronic investigative case files.
The incumbent works under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager I of the Investigation Section Intake Unit.
