POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Software Configuration Specialist will build high performance, scalable and enterprise grade applications. As part of the delivery team, SCS will design pages, configure behaviors, and define rules. The Software Configuration Specialist will use their programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills to develop solutions that will support customers, insurance brokers, and employees.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Project team in delivering technical implementation tasks for internal and external customers.
- Design and implement modules, rules, and conditions that meet business process and application requirements.
- Work with developers, designers, and architects to ensure the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and goals.
- Participate in code reviews; perform troubleshooting and communicate potential solutions.
- Establish workflow processes that support all phases of SDLC lifecycle.
- Write testable and efficient configuration scripts.
- Define functional requirements on upstream and downstream business solution components.
- Scale development processes while maintaining application stability.
- Continuously improve processes by investigating alternatives technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3 years of experience in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in relational data modeling principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to effectively interact with team members and business users.
- Proficient in C#, .NET, and SQL.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall and Scrum SDLC methodologies.
- Working knowledge of XML.
- Experience in Author, Product Studio, Express, and Claims Studio preferred.
- Knowledge in integration of Git and Jenkins in CI/CD pipeline preferred.
- Knowledge of P&C Insurance preferred.
