Vegetation Management Coordinator

As an independent vegetation management consulting contractor, California Forestry and Vegetation Management, Inc (CFVM) has supported our client's vegetation management programs since 2002. Our highly skilled workforce of ISA-Certified Arborists and Utility Specialists assess vegetation near electric utility lines and prescribe work to promote cost-effective reliability and meet regulatory requirements.

If you are an energetic professional who enjoys working outdoors and values the freedom of working independently this is the position for you. ISA Certified Arborist or Utility Specialist Designation or the ability to attain the certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the vegetation management department
• Assist in maintaining databases and updating records with current and accurate information
• Develop quarterly reports and annual updates for program goals
• Develop reports as needed for regulatory compliance
• Archiving and record keeping
• Package and mail letters to customers as necessary and manage incoming mail
• Assist with the management and development of Customer Request tracking and customer outreach and provide information to Customer Service Representatives upon request
• Notify customers when requests have been received
• Track customer requests through email and vegetation management hotline. Create reactive tickets and distribute to System Arborists as necessary
• Provide Monthly production statistics to the Manager
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have excellent computer skills and be able to quickly adapt and use new applications
• Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving abilities, the ability to multi-task and an attention to detail
• Must have experience with data and document management
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science or a related field preferred
• Experience in Forestry, Arboriculture or Horticulture a plus
• ISA Certified Arborist a plus

Environmental

Work in an office or remotely from home (TBD). Ability to commute to an office in either South Lake Tahoe or Tahoe Vista. Addressing utility customer concerns over the phone or in person.

Physical

Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, run, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (5 to 10 lbs); to operate assigned equipment; ability to verbally communicate to exchange information with the public; ability to see and hear in the normal range with or without correction.
