Telework Information: This position is eligible for hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Our Technology Infrastructure Service Division/Data Protection Unit is currently seeking an Information Technology Associate to grow and thrive with CalPERS' latest data protection technology. You will be part of the team which will ensure all CalPERS' data is protected. You will enjoy working with the greatest technology and skilled staff members across the data center.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor systems for incoming customer support issues
- Work with administrators and vendors to coordinate and plan technical aspects of data recovery availability and capabilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve backup processing errors
- Review logs and examine schedules to ensure recovery point object (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO) are met
Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Experience with backup and recovery, disaster recovery and archival solutions
- A current understanding of system administration activities including Windows, VMware and Linux systems
- Knowledge of backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and archival solutions
- Ability to follow detailed directions, multi-task, analytical thinking and to perform completed staff work
- Provide quality customer service and work cooperatively with CalPERS staff, contractors, and vendors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $4,516.00 - $7,998.00 per month
