MUSEUM STORE ASSOCIATE AT THE CALIFORNIA STATE RAILROAD MUSEUM
Part time Museum Store associate performs retail sales in a very busy store. We value customer service skills above any knowledge of railroad history. In addition to sales utilizing a computerized register system, employees receive, tag & stock merchandise, answer visitor questions, and dust & vacuum. Foundation employees must be vaccinated against COVID. While sales benefit the Museum, we work for the non-profit CSRM Foundation. Shifts vary from 5-8 hours daily, some holidays included, 20-30 hours per week depending on the season. Evening shifts are rare except during our popular Polar Express train rides in November & December. We offer free Old Sacramento parking in our own lot. We stand for much of our shifts, sometimes lift 10 pound boxes, and walk up to 50 feet to reach our store's stock room.
