Job/Department Summary:

Under general supervision, incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of security, public safety support, parking support, and related campus community service functions. Will also provide general information to students, faculty, staff, and the general public in person, via phone, and in written communication.

Required Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent and three to six months related experience would normally achieve these minimum qualifications.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:

  • Bilingual
  • One year of full-time equivalent parking enforcement experience and/or working in a public service environment.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • PeopleSoft and Web Applications experience.

Time Base: Full-time- 1.0

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm, Summer Mon -Thurs 11:00 am - 9:30 pm

CSU Classification Salary Range: $42,060 - $60,684 per year.

Additional Information:

California State University, Chico, in accordance with CSU policy, requires that the successful candidate complete a background check (including a criminal records check, sexual offender registry check, and/or fingerprinting) prior to assuming this position. This position is considered a sensitive position based on CSU guidelines. Incumbent is responsible for the safety and security of Level 1 data, sometimes also referred to as Level 1 protected data. The person holding this position is considered a “General Mandated Reporter” under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 (revised July 21, 2017) as a condition of employment.

This position serves as a member of the Emergency Operations Center Group.

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) under the Clery Act and is required to comply with the requirements of this designation.

Throughout employment in this position incumbent must maintain a valid California Driver's License as well as continued completion and compliance of the CSU Defensive Driver's Training course.
