Looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to work full-time in our ophthalmology clinic. Individual must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a team-player and willing to learn under guidance of our practice. This entry-level position will be a great opportunity for individuals looking for a career in the medical field with an emphasis in ocular diseases.
Full-Time Position | 2 office locations, City of Industry & San Gabriel
Compensation:
- Starting $16-18/hour with 3 months’ probation
- After probation will be eligible for paid-time off, health insurance, 401k.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 9am – 5pm, every other Saturday 9am – 12pm
Language Preferences:
· Mandarin
· Cantonese
Physical Demands:
· Prolonged standing and walking
· Must assist patient’s during ambulation
· Must have manual dexterity to operate ophthalmic equipment
· Must be willing to travel and have reliable mode of transportation
Responsibilities:
· Collecting and recording detailed patient health history
· Performing various diagnostic exams including auto-refraction, OCT, IOL Master / Lens Biometry, Humphrey Visual Field
· Assisting physicians with minor surgical procedures and laser procedures
· Coordinating patient flow
· Assisting other staff and physicians as needed
· Travel between office locations as needed
Background and Qualifications:
· Entry-level position / Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred but will also train
· Will support financially for certification process
· High school or equivalent
· Experience in patient care or clinical experience preferred
· Computer Literacy
· Basic medical terminology

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
