Job Summary:
The Shipping Dock Dispatcher will organize a team of employees during a specified shift to ensure that products are properly loaded and unloaded into company trucks for deliveries.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the shipping dock.
- Ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of all freight.
- Conducts daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and internal laws, regulations, and policies.
- Monitors freight movement using various computer software applications.
- Consults with production planning team to plan deliveries for the next day.
- Assesses efficiency and performance of dispatch and distribution activities.
- Identifies and recommends improvements to shift, department, and facility.
- Ensures product handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations on a daily and weekly basis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Basic understanding of truck freight rates.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to monitor and maintain records and inventory.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of Shipping experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and up to four hours per shift sitting and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to traverse facility on unforgiving surfaces.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold climates and in an environment with many noises and odors.
Salary : $31,800 - $40,200
