JOB SUMMARY:
The Site Project Manager will manage, and control assigned projects, including overseeing on-site field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, generating daily reports, and trade contractor and supplier coordination for one or more civil construction projects. The Site Project Manager is responsible for the oversight and delivery of a successful project. This position will maximize project margins while promoting safety, quality, company objectives and goals through the performance of the construction team, meeting quality and safety standards, acting to customer needs, and cultivating customer relationships through constructive collaboration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the process working with the Estimator, Superintendent, Project Engineers and Foremen to plan, organize and direct activities to successfully perform project.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy and contract specifications.
- Work with the Superintendent and Quality Manager to ensure work is performed and installed to meet contract requirements.
- Review project plans and specifications and coordinate with the team to confirm complete scope.
- Stay apprised of on-site compliance and safety audits; suspend or modify work practices as necessary.

Procure and schedule necessary materials and resources such as equipment, team members, and subcontractors to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget. This includes:
- Determine labor requirements.
- Select, hire, and oversee the work done by the subcontractors.
- Determine the best source of construction materials.
- Oversee the delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively.
- Obtain necessary licenses or permits.
- Responsible for projected contract revenue, cost to complete, and cash flow projections monthly.
- Assist with project estimates and ensure all factors are properly considered, scheduled, priced, and included in the estimate.
- Ensure job-required reporting is received/documented, maintained and thorough.
- Monitor/review plans, reports, permits, requests for information, and design change. Ensure compliance with conditions and reporting requirements.
- Ensure quality control plan is implemented and aligns with contract documents.
- Review subcontractor’s daily reports and ensure conformance to plans, specifications and subcontract conditions.
- Formulate reports including work progress and cost schedules.
- Oversee documentation and retention of information related to project start-up, commissioning, contracts, completion reports, and project close out.
- Monitor and control project utilizing onsite management staff to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Work as a “team-player” with co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner.
- Seek and participate in development and training opportunities.
- Represent company in project meetings.
- Travel for work related purposes for extended periods of time (95% of the time, as needed).
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as directed.
SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:
This position supervises project field personnel and subcontractors.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Technical knowledge of various field construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to effectively manage a team and exercise competent change management skills.
- Ability to supervise the performance of staff assigned in different project locations.
- Knowledge of construction, architectural, and building industry standard operating practices/procedures.
- Experience with scheduling, subcontracts, submittals, quality control and safety.
- Ability to create, read, and understand complex documents, construction plans and specification.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, P6, Excel, Word, Outlook, Autodesk Civil 3D, HCSS HeavyBid, and HCSS HeavyJob.
- Skill in organizing resources, establishing priorities, meeting deadlines and general time management.
- Strong self-motivation and work ethic; ability to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with customers and organizations, exceptional follow-up skills.
- Ability to work productively under pressure.
- Excellent analytical and forecasting skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
- Ability to actively listen and provide high quality customer service.
- Ability to do business ethically with customers, vendors, and co-workers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar Degree required. Experience and equivalent skills may be substituted
- Five years’ experience in civil project management required.
- Project Management Professional certification (PMP) preferred.
- OSHA 30 hour, USACE CQM certificate, and Resident Management System (RMS) experience preferred.
- Primavera P6 & HCSS experience preferred.
- Valid state driver’s license and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company’s Driving Policy.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background screening.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Brice Civil Constructors has a fast-paced multi-tasking office and field environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. At times, work is performed outside of the office at indoor and outdoor job sites. Field work may require travel to remote locations via small planes, boats, and vehicles. Adaptability regarding schedule and design changes, and occasional overtime for immediate field support or bid processing may be necessary.
