JOB OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the Director of Provider Relations, the Contracting Specialist is responsible for researching & recruiting new subcontractors, the initial sub-contractor contracting process, and ensuring subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
The typical working condition for this position is an indoor office, climate-controlled environment with controlled lighting and noise levels. The job may require extended periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, and/or lifting of at least 25 lbs. The use of a computer or other office equipment(s) is also a requirement. Some evening and/or weekend work and light travel may be necessary.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Research potential new subcontractors in new and existing areas depending on the dispatch department’s needs and any new client contracts.
2. Helps oversee the onboarding of subcontractors to include contracting and credentialing.
3. Helps oversee the daily flow of credentialing documents from pending new subcontractors to ensure timely compliance with contracts.
4. Runs monthly report on pending Medi-Cal enrollments and gets monthly updates from those subcontractors pending Medi-Cal.
5. Verifies provider documents and ensures that they meet contract requirements as well as scan and maintain documents in credentialing portal.
6. Establish and maintain good working relationships with Call the Car employees, transportation providers and other stakeholders.
7. Works with the Director, Provider Relations to help maintain consistent contact with transportation providers to ensure that expectations are clear, and requirements are completed in a timely manner.
8. Works closely with the Dispatch Department to ensure any network inadequacies are filled by outreach to more providers.
9. Works with other departments for contracting related items
10. Records and distributes bus passes to members for specific clients.
11. Make observations and recommendations for improvement to leadership.
12. Maintains clear communication between Providers, Drivers, and CTC leadership.
13. Maintains 100% accuracy with all aspects of the position.
14. Any other duties as assigned by management
CORE COMPETENCIES
1. Must pass a Criminal Background Screening.
2. Must pass a Drug Screen.
3. Must pass government exclusion list at time of hire and monthly thereafter.
4. Familiarity with various basic PC usage.
5. Able to type at least 40 wpm.
6. Customer Servicer experience preferred.
7. Availability to work any day and any shift; holidays and weekends.
