Job Description Summary
We are looking for a Yard Person to work in various locations (Capital Region, Sullivan, Ulster and Oneida counties).Responsibilities include:
- Work in a safe and professional manner
- Perform 5S functions (Sort, Set in Order, Sustain, Shine, Standardize)
- Run for parts
- Painting
- Performs a wide range of laboring duties
- Properly follow all company policies along with OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendance
- Demonstrate a willingness to work and communicate well with supervisor’s, truck drivers and other employees
- Self-motivated
- Maintain excellent attendance, and maintain a can-do positive attitude
- Physical exam, drug screen and background check required before being employed by Callanan Industries, Inc.
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferences
- Experience with organizational skillsets such as 5S, Six Sigma
Education/Experience
- Prior experience is preferred, but training will be provided as needed
