The Business Transformation Senior Adviser will work as a key member of the Business Transformation team, supporting program and project oversight, interacting with business units to discover opportunities and design solutions, and providing understanding of technology applications that will support the Business Transformation team’s vision. The Business Transformation team is focused on improving processes, helping employees be more effective, and improving the use of data across the organization to drive business insights. We seek to do this through analyzing processes and the technology in use to identify areas for improvement. The Business Transformation Senior Advisor helps support those goals by recommending and implementing process and technical solutions while working closely with business users, business analysts, system analysts and/or outside contractors as directed by the Director of Business Transformation.
- Assist Director of Business Transformation in organizing and execution of transformation initiatives (automation, process improvements, etc.), including defining and monitoring success metrics, project management and monitoring status of ongoing projects, and assessing resource needs
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement using the company’s existing suite of tools (UiPath, Power Platform, etc.) and make recommendations for the use of additional tools and applications across functions
- Facilitate meetings with business users, gather detailed requirements for transformation projects in high-quality, clear and concise documentation, generate workflow diagrams and provide updates to management and key stakeholders
- Help provide change management support as initiatives are designed and executed, including: identification and remediation of impacts of new initiatives on existing systems and processes, training of users of new processes and systems, testing of new implementations, and supporting communication efforts of all Business Transformation efforts
- Work closely with IT personnel to help enable the company’s continued development and execution of a data strategy and data platform: designing and implementing processes that utilize appropriate automation tools; assistance with development of reporting and visualization tools, etc.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have 10 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, Integration Analyst, Business Transformation Advisor, or similar roles
- Degree in Business Admin., Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior experience working with Oil and Gas companies with knowledge of industry software (e.g. Enertia, Quorum, Waterfield, Bolo, WellView, Aries, ProCount, etc.) is preferred
- This is a user facing role, must be a strong communicator and be able to manage user requests and issues in a calm, friendly and effective manner
- History of managing cross-functional projects with aggressive timelines and regular status reporting to senior level management, including use of appropriate project management tools (e.g. Asana, DevOps, etc.)
- Deep familiarity with automation tools (UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, etc.) and analytics and visualization tools (PowerBI, Spotfire, etc.)
- Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong work ethic and personal integrity. Ability to provide after-hour support as needed from time to time and be on call is required
- Ability to lead projects with limited supervision
- Technical knowledge and ability to easily converse with developers is a plus
