Overview

Calspan takes great pride in our ability to attract, recruit, and develop extraordinary talent. We are currently looking for exceptional students to fill our 2023 Summer Internship Program. Calspan’s interns will contribute to exciting projects in both the aerospace and automotive industries and have the opportunity to participate in professional development sessions led by subject matter industry leaders. We are looking for a motivated student to join our team as a Computer and Software Engineering Intern!

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of testing operations in accurate and efficient manner. Design, develop and maintain embedded systems in testing environments as a member of a software team.
  • Maintain and document software approaches and solutions through the software lifecycle for multiple programs.
  • Support development of new applications and test procedures. Evaluate new technologies for implementation. Conduct research that tests and analyzes feasibility, design, operationand performance of systems.
  • Work with an Interdisciplinary team to define requirements, design software architecture, implement and unit test code, integrate software and checkout with aircraft systems.
  • Support structured SQM and SQA processes

Qualifications

Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Computer or Software Engineering program at accredited college or university
  • Must have completed (3) years of undergraduate studies by May 2023 (students graduating in May 2023 or graduate students will not be considered)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • C/C Programming
  • Experience with Python is a plus
