Seasonal position, Grade H02. Department of Parks & Recreation.This is a summer position in the Parks and Recreation Division. The incumbent reports to the Camp Directors. The work involves assisting in the teaching of and planning activities within a prescribed recreation interest area.Assists with the organizing and directing of a complete summer camp program at a local school site or community center.
Assists with the development and maintenance of a daily schedule of arts and crafts, games, sports, and trips for youth.
Supervises and leads participants in scheduled activities.
Completes required forms and submits to the supervisor.
Other Job Duties (Duties listed are not intended to be all inclusive nor to limit duties that might reasonably be assigned.)
Performs any other duties as assigned which relate to successful operation of a camp program.
Performs related work as required.

Training and/or Education:
Completion of 10th grade.
Experience:
None. Experience working with children desirable.
Licenses or Certificates:
None
Special Requirements:
Subject to a background investigation.
Must be 16 years of age. Work Permit required if under 18 years of age.
Physical Demands:
Work requires strenuous physical effort to perform manual work involving walking over rough, uneven terrain, repeated bending, climbing, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or lifting objects up to 100 pounds.
