Now Hiring: Community Health Planner
Full-Time (40 hours per week)
The Cambridge -Guernsey County Health Department’s mission statement is: To improve quality of life for Guernsey County by promoting health, preventing disease, and ensuring a safe environment.
Community Health Planner:
- Provides support with public health accreditation.
- Facilities and organizes community meetings.
- Facilities quality improvement projects.
- Provides support with strategic planning efforts.
- Provides support with community health assessment and improvement planning processes.
- Provides support with grant writing and grant efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of at least a high school degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Policy and Planning, Communication, Project Management or related field of study
- Minimum of two years of experience in public health.
- Experience in public speaking, group facilitation and project management.
- Advanced computer skills using PC-based software and hardware (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills with accuracy in spelling and grammar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Policy and Planning, Communication, Project Management or related field of study
- Experience with public health accreditation
- Experience with strategic planning and quality improvement
- Grant management experience
The starting salary range is $21.00-$29.00/hour based on education and qualifications. The health department offers and excellent fringe benefit package and is an equal opportunity employer.
