Academic Services Specialist
The Academic Services Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing academic services for international students. The role displays a high level of professionalism, problem-solving skills, ability to mentor tutors and clients, and attention to detail. This full-time position is in Waltham, MA.
Position Responsibilities:
Follow up with academic services inquiry; provide internal product training and sales support; communicate with customers to provide advice, support and/or make sales.
Maintain academic services management system; communicate with the system provider to update system functions; provide system trainings to tutors and clients.
Match the best-fit tutors with students to ensure service delivery.
Monitor tutor compensation and hours; review and process tutor invoice.
Maintain records of tutoring-related data, including tutor and student lists, packages purchased, and hours used, etc.
Manage tutors through check-ins; provide training to tutors.
Track students’ academic progress; communicate with school and clients about student progress.
Develop protocols for effective service delivery and streamline program operations.
Implement student satisfaction surveys and manage expectations of students and parents.
Compile and analyze academic services data.
Work with the director to revamp the academic services program as needed to ensure the program quality.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience in education-related field
Highly organized and detailed-oriented
Excellent computer skills in all Microsoft Office Programs
Ability to research, develop, present, and promote programs
Ability to work independently, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and presentation skills
Eligible to work in the US
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience or knowledge in online academic service content delivery and management
Familiar with American middle school and high school curricula as well as US education
